Critical Deliverables

  • Lead the human resources practice for the China business by implementing organizational plans and structural improvements that support the execution of business strategy.

  • Communicate and drive global Ingredion Vision, Strategy, HR processes, policies and standards in areas such as total rewards, performance management, compliance, recognition, and employee communication programs.

  • Partner with Business/Functional Managers to ensure effective business process and organization design. Lead smooth implementation of organization design with effective change management and communication; ensure right employees in right roles with transparent and rigorous employee selection.

  • Lead the people and capability review process including the succession planning process driving actionable outcomes to ensure available talent to meet short and long term business requirements. Identify high potential talents, drive disciplined development of these talents and execute programs to retain these talents.

  • Lead performance management process that drives strong business performance and effectively defines individual accountability, rewards performance and supports employee development and growth.

  • Implement corporate and regional processes to attract, select, develop and retain talents that provide a competitive advantage for the business.

  • Develop and implement employee training and development programs that ensure the broad development of organization talents and address critical skill and competency areas required to execute business strategy.

  • Coordinate the design, implementation and ongoing administration and communication of compensation and benefits programs that deliver value through motivating and retaining employees. Ensure that variable pay plans are maintained to drive strong business execution for critical areas. All incentive programs are consistently administrated and effectively communicated and marketed.

  • Be responsible for coordinating and executing plans to maintain and improve employee engagement across the business.

  • Ensure effective communication with Business Leadership Teams (BLT) to ensure goal alignment, understanding and commitment to delivering business objectives.

  • Support the General Manager in creating a high performance team across the business.

  • Maintain key organizational metrics aligned with the C.A.R.E HR strategy to guide business decision making and support external competitiveness benchmarking.

  • Provide guidance and consultation to managers and employees in effectively resolving issues related to interpersonal, team and organization effectiveness.

  • Lead and develop effectively the team to create a high performing HR team in China.

  • Establish a strong collaboration culture with Regional and Corporate HR partners ensuring required support for HR needs and effective influence in decisions impacting the China business.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a HR Generalist role with at least 5 years’ experience as HR Manager for a Multinational Company

  • Master Degree in a business or HR discipline; MBA ideal.

  • Solid experience in a manufacturing environment and in managing directly or remotely Chinese operations

  • Successful experience in contributing effectively to a business leadership team

  • Strong track record in managing and developing large teams

  • Previous experience in managing and supporting remote teams

  • Strong business acumen and strategic ability

  • Talented communicator and proven ability to influence, persuade and collaborate across the organization

  • Strong project management, presentation, communication and coaching skills

  • International experience in Asia or other regions is a plus

  • Fluent in English and in Mandarin

  • Travel approximately 20%
