Title: EHSQ Compliance Specialist

Ingredion is hiring a EHSQ Compliance Specialist to Manage Ingredion Plant document management systems by ensuring all data, records and documents are effectively updated, uploaded, tracked, presented and stored in the proper location for multiple functions including Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality Control. Also responsible for the internal audit process and new vendor process.
As a EHSQ Compliance Specialist , your responsibilities will include:
Maintain ingdocument files consistent with the requirements of the corporate records retention policies and governmental records retention requirements concerning environment, health, safety and quality including FSSC 22000, ISO 9001:2008, environmental tracking, Title V compliance, etc.
Ensuring that the established format and numbering scheme is followed on existing and new documents.
Being responsible for initiating change requests within the Document Management System, identifying reviewers and approvers, maintaining traceability tracking during approval and notification of approval as per documented Change Control Procedure.
Maintaining maintenance of current revisions within the Document Management System and for ensuring that relevant versions of applicable documents are available at point of use are legible and readily identifiable.
Ensure that relevant documents of external origin are identified and their distribution controlled.
Assisting with the internal audit program including organizing, scheduling and collaborating with the team as well as presenting findings.
Distributing monthly plant safety tasks and review and record monthly postings.
Being responsible for new vendor application and tracking process.
General duties including meeting minutes, uploading documents i.e. Tier 1 – 3 vender data.
Other duties as assigned.
The EHSQ Compliance Specialist position is well-suited for you if you:
Assist with the continuous improvement of all plant environmental, health, safety and quality programs to create a culture that promotes efficiency, higher quality ratings and safety excellence.
Identify, investigate and facilitate the resolution of document deficiencies, such as missing, incomplete or incorrectly completed inspections, audits and reports concerning environmental, health, safety and quality matters.
Uses LSS tools to improve environmental, health, safety and quality management systems
Apply a deep understanding of customers needs to make decisions and take action in their interest.
Assist with facilitation of safety and environmental training as needed to support the development of a culture that promotes safety and environmental excellence.Interfaces with all plant departments to keep them informed of changes in safety and environmental initiatives which may impact them.
Reviews data and benchmarking information to identify highest value improvement opportunities
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree in business or other related discipline, or equivalent of experience and education.
Experience in Environmental, Health and Safety, data control and information systems, controlled
documentation, filing, managing document process and programs.
Strong computer skills with knowledge in the use of MS Office, SAP and Lotus Notes
Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and interpret how existing and emerging safety and
environmental regulations can impact the operations of an industrial facility.
Ability to interpret governmental regulations to ensure compliance with the requirement of the
regulations in an industrial setting.
Knowledge of, and developed skills using computer based spreadsheet, word processing, and web-based tracking tools.
Ability to work within a manufacturing environment, including capability to perform effectively in high stress, emergency and crisis situations.
