TITLE: Instructional Designer

LOCATION: Westchester, IL

As an Instructional Designer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducts performance and needs assessments to identify priority learning needs.

  • Develops learning objectives and expected performance outcomes for instructional material.

  • Advises subject matter experts and learning community on the viability of various instructional optionswith the learner needs and experience in mind.

  • Works with subject matter experts to generate content or repurpose existing content for digital format using storyboarding and similar techniques.

  • Visually communicates ideasand writes engaging copy to produceefficient learning and performance support resources using instructional design methodologies.

  • Utilizes various digital learning technologies, including video, audio, etc. to deliver compelling and highly relevant digital learning for distribution to global audiences.

  • Adheres to content governance guidelines to ensure content ownership, timely updates and high relevance.

  • Works to ensure full user testing is conducted from an instructional and digital delivery standpoint before go live.

  • Develops communications and campaigns to push relevant content to learners.

  • Identifies metrics to gauge learner acceptance, and measure performance outcomes.

  • Provides data on user adoption and performance gains.

Qualified Candidate will have:

  • 5-7 years' experience in working with technical and other professionals globally to develop learning content for global audiences.

  • Bachelors Degree in related field preferred

  • Authoring software experience such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360; familiarity with a range of digital learning alternatives.

  • Experience in developing learning for deployment on learning management systems and other platforms.

Desired behaviors & experiences:

  • Instructional design / digital learning experience in a large organization

  • Business and or technical background (food or related industries) preferred
